Learning Support Educator

Description

As a Learning Support Educator, you will be working with children requiring early intervention. You will 

  1. Conduct assessment using the standardised screening tools
  2. Write reports and case notes (including Individual Educational Plan, session summary, end-of-intervention report) 
  3. Deliver intervention for children in the areas of language, literacy, fine motor and social skills 
  4. Conduct in-class support and demonstrate skills to early childhood educators
  5. Conduct internal training for early childhood educators/parents
  6. Work with parents and teachers with the common goal of supporting child’s learning and development
  7. Periodically administer screening and evaluate children’s learning with standardised early development tools
  8. Maintain ongoing network of resources and working relationships with agencies, hospitals and therapy centres

Requirements

Requirement

  • Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Learning Support (SDELS)
  • Minimum relevant diploma in ECE
  • 2 to 3 years of working experience in the early childhood sector
  • Possess relevant working experience in early intervention setting is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Committed to children’s learning, development and well-being
  • Candidates who are able to commence soon is a plus
